I’ve been back playing the classic again now that it’s out and now that we are older and much “wiser”, I’m starting to see why people didn’t like PvP Servers.
However, I’m committed to playing on one even though at this point I think PvE server would be a lot more fun, the idea of a PvP server seems kind of childish and pointless to me now.
Continue readingRogues are a considered a high DPS (Damage Per Second) class. The best way to level a rogue is to focus on caster mobs (squishies) that have low armor and low health. These will be the best mob types to grind on and you should always focus on finding an area full of caster mobs if possible.
Continue readingLockpicking is a very beneficial ability to have. During your time in the game there are going to be locked chests in instances, locked boxes dropping off mobs, or locked doors that could provide you with access to uber loot to sell on the auction house.
Continue readingThe Hunter class is thought to be by many the easiest class to level in the game, not counting levels 1-10 where you won’t have a pet to tank for you. Hunters can control beasts with a variety of abilities, shoot ranged weapons from quite a distance, or use there other abilities to totally annihilate both players and non-player characters in the game. The best route for leveling is through beast mastery, but I will go over all of the trees incase you decide to be different.
Continue readingI’m sure everyone has gone by or seen a frost mage who is aoe grinding, you’ve even probably tried to help him out and maybe killed him in the process by throwing off his method. Mages have the ability to pull as many melee mobs as they can gather and the only limitation to how many they can kill is based on a mobs anchor radius. It is argued that Frost Mages can level faster grinding on mobs then by questing, whether or not this is true is insignificant, because either way it is fun. Continue readingThe Warrior class is an incredibly dynamic class who has been endowed with 3 vastly different play styles to include Fury, Arms and Protection. With the release of The Burning Crusade, the distinction is made even more clear with some significant 40 warrior point talents. However, we won’t worry about these while we focus on leveling.
While leveling a warrior you will want to maximize dps, wear high armored gear, and carry food with you when grinding. I strongly recommend going Fury to do all of these. However I will outline all three warrior trees to provide you with the choice.
Continue readingThis guide is extremely useful especially if you are power leveling an alternate character with your main. If you don’t have a main character to run you through I would recommend starting in some the easiest instance and wait until at least level 40 and when you have the correct setup to solo. In Scarlet Monastery the elites will range from levels low to mid 30s in the library instance (instance on the right when you enter) to 39-40 in the cathedral.
Continue readingIf you’re stuck leveling your Herbalism. Consider your Herbalism level, pretend it’s 240/300. Divide it by 5: level 48. Subtract about 5 levels and head to a zone of that level (Tanaris/Feralas is good for levels 40-45) and you should have decent luck leveling your Herbalism there, or just use this guide’s maps.
Use your ‘Find Herbs’ tool while leveling, do this by left clicking on the icon connected to your minimap and going down to ‘Find Herbs’:
