There are a few options we can choose and a lot of ways to tweak the build depending if you are going to be doing AoE Tanking or Single Target tanking. Inside each of those options you can also choose things for Raid Boss tanking or Raid AoE tanking. The Warrior has a variety of talents and skills for a bunch of different scenarios.

There's not a whole lot of excitement or versatility when it comes to Druid Tanking Builds. You'll spend almost all of your points in the Feral Tree, the talents you won't get will be ones that Cats primarily used. There won't be a great variation of talent builds between AoE and Single Target tanking as the other classes have. Druids are pretty straight forward, this will also cut down on the glyph options as well.

There's essentially two things you want to know when choosing the talent builds that best suits your play style as a tank for a Paladin. That's whether or not you're going to be AoE Intensive Tank, a Raid Boss Tank, or perhaps a mixture of both. Regardless of what your passion is, you're going to be spending most of your points in the protection tree.

Warriors like Paladins have the ability to dodge, block, and parry. The difference between a Paladin and Warrior in terms of melee tanking stats is that Warriors get a bigger bonus from Strength and less of a Bonus from Agility as Paladins do, otherwise they are virtually the same stats with those variations.

According to polls the most favored tank to group with is the Paladin. Unlike the Death Knight and Druid, Paladins are able to wear a shield and block attacks like Warriors. Therefore, Block Rating and Strength play a factor in tanking. Unfortunately, there aren't currently gems that offer Block Rating, and the Stat Strength is so weak in comparison to the other stats for tanking, that we will mostly avoid using any.

Death Knights are the only class that can legitimately tank out of any tree they want. I am going to share with you two of the better builds from the Blood and Frost trees for tanking. There are infinite builds but these have worked well for me in the past. There are commonalities in talents though no matter what tree is your primary, such as 5 points in anticipation and 5 points in Toughness. 5 points in Blade Barrier too is usually recommended.
