Grinding on high value item's is the best way.
Try grinding rep items for scryers/aldors, the firewing signets are a good one, the mobs are low health (lvl 63), only really do shadow dmg, and drop lots of greens and nethercloth. Each signet sells for about 1g on my server, so combining that with the nethercloth and disechants from the greens, you should be looking at a good 50g an hour easily.
I grind this with my warlock and have almost no down time when using felguard and shadow protection buffs (out sourced).
A few other item's worth wowhead'ing are dragonscales (about 1g each), fel scales (1g each), and wind scales (1g each), only if you skin though.
Another skinning place is north Nagrand, some great skinning drops there, some of the skinned items sell for 60g a stack.
South Nagrand is full of mote dropper's with high drop rate's. I normally farm motes of shadow, and can usually make a good 40g an hour doing this.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment, but that should be enough to give you a good start farming gold
