There are some really common questions that are going to come up when players are done upgrading to Wrath of the Lich King. They are sure to polute your trade and general channels and it might even be hard to get a striaght answer. Here are some of the questions we saw in the Wrath beta and our best attempts to answer them:
How do I get to Northrend?
There are TWO starting zones in Northrend: Borean Tundra (pronounced: boring tundra) and the Howling Fjord (pronounced: screaming ford). If you can't decide which one to go to, I'd recommend the Howling Fjord because it's basically like being in the movie Brave Heart. Although you won't find William Wallace anywhere (or William Walruse for that matter.) Each zone sports quests for the first few levels of 70.
Alliance:
Stormwind Harbor -> Borean Tundra (Valiance Keep)
Menethil Harbor -> Howling Fjord (Valgarde)
Horde:
Orgrimmar Zeppelin -> Borean Tundra (Warsong Hold)
Undercity Zeppelin -> Howling Fjord (Vengeance Landing)
If you need to make your way from the Howling Fjord to the Borean Tundra (of vice versa) you can hop a ride on the magic sea turtle between Kamagua (south western Howling Fjord) to Unu'pe (eastern shores of Borean Tundra.)
What is this Nexus and Utgarde talk?
You might get asked to tag along on a Nexus or Utgarde Keep run. If you're wondering if you're ready, the answer is yes. These instances are scaled for new level 70s, and you're likely tripped out in all sorts of fancy gear. As a matter of fact, there are a dozen new instances in Northrend I talked about in my Raids & Dungeons post.
Where do I train my professions and become a Grand Master?
There is just about every trainer you need in the main hub cities of Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord (except Horde must go to Vengeance Landing in Howling Fjord for Skinng) along with a Grand Master trainer in Dalaran. How do I get to Dalaran?
Dalaran is the new Shattrath. Home of portals to all major locations. Short of a Mage's portal or Warlock's summon, you'll need level 74 to complete the quest The Magical Kingdom of Dalaran to get there. The Magical Kingdom of Dalaran starts in several locations including Valiance Keep, Conquest Hold, Star's Rest, etc.
