Blizzard Poster, Eyonix, promised that a patch containing some Wrath features (including talents) will be released prior to the release of Wrath of the Lich King (source). Similar to the 2.0 release made before The Burning Crusade. Here is a list of some of the things to be included in the patch:
- New class spells and talents:
This will give everyone a free respec and give them access to the new talent trees, with 61 talent points at level 70.
- Stormwind Harbor, new zeppelin towers, barbershops
- New Arenas:
The intent of this is likely to allow PvP players to practice in the new Arenas.
- Guild calendar
- New Hunter pet skills system
- Inscription:
All Burning Crusade Players will be able to level Inscription from 1-375
