The Burning Crusade

Yesterday we found out that Season 4 will be suspended with the release of Patch 3.0. A snapshot of rating will be used to reward end of season rewards but the season will continue. Today Nethaera gave us their promised 2 week notice for the ending of Season 4. Reasoning says that October 14th will not only be the end of Season 4 but also the release of Patch 3.0.

Well it seems World of Warcraft just got a bit easier. This guy used the Recruit-A-Friend offer from blizzard to get himself a free paladin. Using the level grants to get from 1-60 in under 20 minutes played.

Blizzard Poster, Eyonix, promised that a patch containing some Wrath features (including talents) will be released prior to the release of Wrath of the Lich King (source). Similar to the 2.0 release made before The Burning Crusade. Here is a list of some of the things to be included in the patch:

Battle Grounds do not have hisotry of being very even, in the Whirlwind Battle Group Alliance loses Eye of the Storm a lot more often than it wins. When I played on Stormreaver Horde was in a similar position. Several people have been kind enough to share their opinions publicly. If you have played a warrior past level 15 you probably already know they have been typecasted as tanks, even though they are poor tanks in the majority of 5-man instances. You've certainly received tells asking you if you'd 'tank arc' or 'come tank SV.' No, these folks aren't conducting surveys, they are assuming that you are capable of tanking and they want you to join them.

Blizzard revealed a ridiculous program to encourage existing players to recruit new players. At first glance, this is going to seem like an April Fools joke, but remember it's August. It's very clear this isn't targeted at actual recruiting, more so at people who want more level 70 characters and unique mounts.

Blizard mentioned again that they are reviewing a system to allow players to have 'two talent specs.' I have been a big critic of WoW getting easier and easier and easier but I'm actually anticipating this implementation.

Tanking with a Protection Paladin is about the easiest and most effective thing I've found in World of Warcraft. I imagine there are a few things that compare, like afk'ing in AV for free honor or playing a sword/mace combat rogue. But let's stick to the incredible tanking powers of the Paladin. Keep in mind I'm still experimenting and continue to level my Paladin (level 68 at the time of this article), most of my time over the past 4 years has been behind a Warrior tanking, so here's how Paladins do it with so much ease:
