Wrath of the Lich King Rumors
There are a few rumors going on about Wrath of the Lich King. First, the German WoW site: allvatar.com claims that at the World Wide Invitational, Blizzard's German community manager, (Gnorog) said the closed beta was starting July 3rd. It seems a bit early according to my Wrath Release Predictions, but the beginning of the beta may not immediately involve anyone outside of Blizzard. They will first need to setup the servers and copy all the accounts over. We saw during The Burning Crusade beta that the accounts were copied before the beta was made public. The alpha will likely go down and there will be a period of time before they start allowing people to play on the new servers. If you don't already have access to the beta, don't get too excited, we haven't even seen beta signups and we know there will be time between the signups and the time we actually get access.
Another rumor floating around is that the Death Knight class will be playable for people who pre-order Wrath of the Lich King (through Blizzard's store). The idea is: a patch in the fall will allow them to get an early start and catch up to level 70 before levels 70-80 are opened up. This is, of course, wishful thinking. Bad thinking if you ask me. This would add unneeed stress to the 70-80 leveling zones that would otherwise be relieved by people creating Death Knights. Remember how loaded Hellfire Penninsula was after The Burning Crusade release? Imagine if people wern't creating new characters at the same time.
That's it for now, let us know if there are any other crazy rumors going around about Wrath.
