Get Ready for Wrath: What is...

There are some really common questions that are going to come up when players are done upgrading to Wrath of the Lich King. They are sure to polute your trade and general channels and it might even be hard to get a striaght answer. Here are some of the questions we saw in the Wrath beta and our best attempts to answer them:

How do I get to Northrend?

Get Ready for Wrath: Dungeons & Raids

Wrath of the Lich King is coming out, well, practically tomorrow! While many of you are going to create Death Knights and run around the Outlands for a week or so, you're going to end up level 70 eventually, and you're going to find yourself in places you've never been.

Oct 14: Patch 3.0 release and Season 4 end date

Yesterday we found out that Season 4 will be suspended with the release of Patch 3.0. A snapshot of rating will be used to reward end of season rewards but the season will continue. Today Nethaera gave us their promised 2 week notice for the ending of Season 4. Reasoning says that October 14th will not only be the end of Season 4 but also the release of Patch 3.0.

World of Warcraft - Leveled 1-60 in under 20 minutes played.

Well it seems World of Warcraft just got a bit easier. This guy used the Recruit-A-Friend offer from blizzard to get himself a free paladin. Using the level grants to get from 1-60 in under 20 minutes played.

Wrath of the Lich King Mounts

Mounts and non-combat pets have a new storage system in Wrath of the Lich King, allowing you to carry more and keeping them out of your inventory. There are serveral new exciting mounts upcoming in Wrath, let's take a look at each one and see how we can get them. You will need your Cold Weather Flying attunement (obtainable through a level 77 quest) before the flying mounts in Northrend.

What is: Power Leveling?

I've heard a lot of people say things like 'I'm powerleveling my friend” or “I'm going to powerlevel my character,” but what do they mean? This website even has several power leveling guides. To give a better idea of what people might be talking about, I've organized different types of power leveling into several categories:

My Zhevra Mount, 1-20 in 4 hours

The new Recruit-A-Friend program seems to be working great. I recruited 'a friend' and decided to test it out. This program rewards both the new recruit and recruiter 3x faster experience when partied together, the recruiter gets an epic Zhevra Mount (as seen in the photo) and the two players gain the ability to summon each other without any assistance for the first 90-days.

Warriors are for...

If you have played a warrior past level 15 you probably already know they have been typecasted as tanks, even though they are poor tanks in the majority of 5-man instances. You've certainly received tells asking you if you'd 'tank arc' or 'come tank SV.' No, these folks aren't conducting surveys, they are assuming that you are capable of tanking and they want you to join them.

Brett Favre has to decide to come back to WoW or go to NY Jets

After a lengthy process and a lot of conversation with the Green Bay Packer head coach, it has been decided that Brett Favre will not be joining the Packers for the 2008 season. After quitting his WoW Addiction this past month and coming out of retirement in the NFL, what will this future hall of fame quarterback do next?

New Zhevera Mount, 1-70 in 30 hours

Blizzard revealed a ridiculous program to encourage existing players to recruit new players. At first glance, this is going to seem like an April Fools joke, but remember it's August. It's very clear this isn't targeted at actual recruiting, more so at people who want more level 70 characters and unique mounts.
