Auctioneer Addon

The Auctioneer addon is one of the most popular World of Warcraft addons available. Without Auctioneer, players are forced to buy and sell items without the information they need to make informed purchases. Instead, they end up overpaying for items they buy and severely underpricing items they sell. However, with the Auctioneer addon you can not only place multiple stacks of items up for sale but can also scan the auction house and set it up to undercut all of the existing auction prices or over price items if you wish.

Auctioneer allows players to scan the auction house and basically collect data that tells players everything from how many times it's been seen on the auction house and the average buyout price. It turns the auction house from a place of guesswork to a highly efficient system to buy and sell items.

The Auctioneer also provides a tooltip toolbar for items that you may encounter while PvE'ing. The toolbar will tell you how much the going rate is for a particular item on the auction house, how many times it's been seen for sale, and loads of other information. This allows you to get rid of things in your inventory that won't be beneficial to hold onto and sell.

In almost every gold making guide you encounter on the Internet it is recommended that you get Auctioneer. It can be a really big help for those who send all of their loot to a single character that they designate as their auction house character. This character will be able to scan the entire auction house frequently and place a lot of items in the auction house very fast just by dragging and dropping the items into the auction window; they will already be priced and ready to go up for sale. Auctioneer will also allow multiple items to be placed up at the same time simply by filling in the quantity field.

If you have never used Auctioneeer I highly recommend that you try it out, it will make your experience in the auction house a much better one.
