Gatherer Addon

Gatherer is a must have addon if you are a miner, herbalist, or treasure seeker. Rather than tracking nodes on your map as you see them, Gatherer records the location of nodes that you have looted. So for example, if you are herbing in the Barrens and have Gatherer enabled all of the nodes you loot will be recorded so that they next time you enter the Barrens all of the locations you previously looted nodes at will show up on your minimap.

The benefits of using Gatherer are incredible. Once Gatherer is used once to record the locations of nodes you will be able to tell what areas are worth mining, herbing, or treasure hunting in. Gatherer is your own personal way to gather in game data to make your time spent gathering much more efficient. Rather than searching on the Internet for database sites that may or may not contain accurate data you can use your own personal collected data to effectively find and loot nodes.

If you are a miner, herbalist, or treasure hunter and have never used Gatherer I suggest that you download it and give it a try. If you want to gather data from others or faster, then join a guild and recommend others to install the Gatherer addon. All of the data they collect will also show up on your map as they are collecting. If you do this with a full guild of people who are doing gathering professions you will know all of the best places to do any type of gathering in the game.
