QuestHelper Addon Download

So you are new to a zone and you trot on into the local outpost. On your mini-map you see a ton of yellow exclamation marks....jackpot!! You run around and gather up all of these quests and start looking at them. Where do I start? Which quests are in common areas? Where in the zone do I go to do the quest? Are all these quests in this zone?

This is where QuestHelper comes to the rescue. QuestHelper is an addon that will analyze your quest log and provide indicators on your world and mini maps as to where you need to go to complete the tasks within your quests. Questhelper will also analyze the most efficient route that you need to take to complete your quests using your current position in the game and flightpoints known by your character. A small indicator flashes at the edge of your minimap to tell you what direction you need to go. A small cube shows up and will tell you which quest and task needs to be completed along with the type of mob that needs to be killed to achieve completion. For mobs that show up in multiple areas a fog affect appears that will show you alternate locations for your target mob. When looking at your world map dotted lines are used to show you where you need to go along with directional flashing to give you an indication of where to go first.

I personally have found this add on to be more usefull than a leveling guide. Anywhere you move within the game a new route is calculated automatically so you are not forced into following a single optimal route. In addition, if other members within your group are using QuestHelper, the quests needed for each person will appear on everybodies map so that you can use the most efficient route to meet everybodies questing needs.

The add on is actively supported. An update was available within hours of the 2.4 WoW release providing a work around that would still allow the add on to be used. I expect to see further updates as the new content added in the 2.4 release is discovered and catalogued.
