Aldor Reputation Guide
Why Aldor?
Gaining reputation with the Aldor faction, as opposed to the Scryer faction, will largely benefit your PvE experience (Player v Environment) and slightly benefit your PvP experience (Player v Player). The reasoning behind this is the stats that the shoulder enchantments (obtained at both honored and exalted) are more tailored to killing beasts and bosses, where as the Scryer shoulder enchantments are more tailored to killing your fellow players. As such, the decision to choose Aldor suggests that you're a PvE orientated player.
What benefits will I receive?
Having reputation with the Aldor faction entitles you to many benefits, including purchasable items, shoulder enchantments, tier quality loot vendors, a home in Shattrath and more. The number of benefits, and their usefulness, increases as your reputation does.
There are a number of blue quality and epic quality items that you can purchase when you get revered and exalted reputation respectively. These items benefit the following classes/specs in particular:
Tanking Warriors - Vindicator's Brand, Vindicators Hauberk
Mages/Shadow Priests/Balance Druids - Medallion of the Lightbearer, Auchenai Staff, Anchorite's Robes
Rogues - Vindicator's Brand, Lightwarden's Band
Keep in mind that there are shoulder enchantments however, for every class, so no one is totally neglected. Note that there are both uncommon and rare (green and blue) versions of each enchantment. The green ones required a honored reputation, and the blue ones exalted. They are as follows:
Inscription of Discipline
Inscription of Faith
Inscription of Vengeance
Inscription of Warding
Greater Inscription of Discipline
Greater Inscription of Faith
Greater Inscription of Vengeance
Greater Inscription of Warding
There is also added benefit for tailors who specialize in healing to choose the Aldor faction. They will gain access to Silver and Golden Spellthread patterns, giving +healing and +stamina to legs. The enchantments however, once crafted, are BoE, and available to sell or trade to anyone.

How do I choose the Aldor's?
To choose your faction, simply head to Shattrath city and speak to A'dal. So long as you're the appropriate level (60), he will give you a quest. Upon the completion of a series of easy, self-explanatory quests, you will have a choice of two quest. [Allegiance to the Aldor] and [Allegiance to the Scryers]. Obviously, you will want to chose the first of the two quests. This grants you +3500rep with the Aldor's, and enables you to start building reputation.
Gaining reputation
There are a number of ways to gain reputation. The simplest and quickest way, for those of you who don't mind farming, is to collect various marks and armaments. The other is to complete quests, which once completed reward reputation.
Target - Honored
To get honored, hand in Marks of Kil'jaeden until your reputation reaches the sufficient level. You are allowed to hand in either 1 or 10 at a time, and each mark will gain you +25rep with the Aldor, and -27/28rep with the Scryers. These can be farmed from various mobs in Outland, but are most typically found in the lower part of Terrokar Forest, above Auchindoun, in two big camps. It is advisable if any of the mobs drop Fel Armaments that you save these until later in your reputation grind, where you can no longer hand in these lower ranked marks. It will take approximately 220 Marks of Kil'jaeden to become honored.
Target - Revered/Exalted
Once you reach level 68, you can start farming for Marks of Sargeras. These drop from level 68+ mobs in Outland, and as before reward +25rep with the Aldor, and -27/28 rep with the Scryers per turn in. Mobs that drop these marks can be found in Blades Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley in varying locations. The best spot however to get these marks is Legion Hold in Shadowmoon valley. The mobs range from level 67-69 and drop silver, cloth and Marks of Sargeras. Not only can you combine quests with these mobs, but they can also make you a pretty penny while you're farming!
You can also now start handing in any Fel Armaments you've collected. They reward +350rep per turn in, and have the additional bonus of rewarding you with Holy Dust. This item is used to purchase shoulder enchantments from the Aldor bank within Shattrath city, enhancing your shoulders with great stats. There are enchantments designed for every class, so make sure you look at the stats they offer, and decide what you want most. However, like other enchantments, if you're unhappy with your decision you can simply use more Holy Dust to purchase another shoulder enchantment, and override the previous enchantment.
It takes 1320 Marks of Sargeras or 95 Fel Armaments to become Exalted with the Aldor's.
What now?
That's it! You've finally amassed enough reputation to unlock all the wonders that the Aldor's have to offer you. If you've saved up any Fel Armaments, you could perhaps either sell them on the AH for some money, or hand them in for the Holy Dust, in anticipation of needing a new shoulder enchantment. Other than that, simple /flex your muscles and enjoy what you've done, it was worth it.
