Ok so I decided to make a best mastery pvp guide. Of course I have my very own hunter “Omghunterman“yes I am beast mastery. IMO beast mastery is the best pvp spec although how many arguments there has been about beast master VS marksmanship. Pvp is about quick burst dps to take out your opponent as quickly as possible. Which is why I say BM is the best pvp spec because you have +10% burst damage for 18 seconds (the beast within) and with ferocious howl (+3% damage) proc and imp AoH (+15% range attack speed) and serpent’s swiftness (+20%

DUELING AS A BEAST MASTERY HUNTER

In other hunter pvp guides I have seen they state “STAY AWAY FROM DUELS!” But I completely disagree. I love dueling on my hunter as of lv70 beast mastery seems to be the best 1v1 spec. The best way to do this is to lay a trap in the beginning of the duel. The duel will most likely be over before you can lay another trap. You will usually want to wait till your opponent makes the first attack then pop beastial wrath (unless they are trying to CC you and kill your pet ex. Polymorph, cyclone, sap, ECT.) FD and pop bestial wrath or just pop beastial wrath and save FD for a frostbolt or fireball.

CASTER DUEL
The best way is to kite or with casters just run away and watch your pet take their health away until they try to kill your pet then take them out. Or if they try to heal just throw an aimed shot and intimidation then beastial wrath and just throw everything you got on him/her. The best way to kill casters is to throw viper sting and a snake trap. 8/10 casters will chase you right over your snake trap. As soon as viper sting ends lay serpent sting till you can lay viper sting again.

ROGUE DUEL
Ah rogues they used to be a breeze at lower levels now all of a sudden at lv70 these rogues are jumping across the screen and backstabbing you before you can call pet. Rogues take a little bit of skill to take out at lv70 I suggest laying a frost trap and standing on it with a flare around you and track hidden with pet on aggressive. Most rogues will try to sap you then stunlock (which will seriously hurt) so try best to keep the flare up and not get stunlocked. If you do get hit with a sap you will most likely be able to see the rogue but not touch him since your sapped have your pet attack him then as soon as sap is done spam BW and intimidation. By then he should have hit your trap so you should be able to get away since he should be stunned and slowed just throw arcane shot, serpent sting and pop rapid fire as soon as the stun ends lay concussive shot. Use aspect of the cheetah for like 2 seconds and run away then put aspect of the hawk back on. Then attack some more since rapid fire should still be up and let the rogue actually get close to you since the rogue wont be able to slow you with bestial wrath up. Use wing clip and FD then use aspect of the cheetah again and run for 3-5 seconds then put aspect of the hawk back on and blast him with some more dps. Keep repeating till the rogue is destroyed. If the rogue used cloak of shadow combined with vanish you will most likely lose since all your spells are on CD unless you flared him right away.

WARRIOR DUEL
Warriors are a pain since they like to charge and intercept then spam hamstring. When dueling a warrior you will most likely like to FD right when its say 1, 2 so that way he will no longer be targeting you when it says 3 then hit him with an arcane shot and then he will most likely go beserker stance and intercept then lay a hamstring that is when you should lay frost trap(if you haven’t already) and pop BW and any other CDs to blast that warrior away its always good to do an all out blast on warriors instead of kiting since your BW buff will be gone shortly and he will be intercepting and laying a hamstring on you.

FERAL DRUID AND SHAMAN DUEL
Ok so for feral druids you do pretty much the same thing you do with rogues except you will need to keep an aimed shot up at all times so it may become difficult but you don’t have to worry about being snared. They do have a stun though. Shamans can become a pain since their lesser heals are so strong. But basically just keep aimed shot up and lay a frost trap and viper sting and pop BW and rapid fire right away. Shamans are hard to kite so don’t worry to much about kiting and just blast him right away.
