Pre-Karazhan / Pre-Heroic Hunter Gear DPS Guide

The following guide is for a Beast Mastery Hunter talent build but you can probably gather most of this gear for any Hunter Talent Build and still be pretty good. The only change you may want to make if you are not a BM spec is to get a slower Ranged weapon than the Bow I suggest.

Melee Weapon

The 2 handed weapon of choice comes from a Sethek Halls Quest and is for Terrokk's Quill a 54 Agility 2handed weapon.

Ranged Weapon

Valano's Long Bow is one of the best pre-raid / pre-heroic ranged weapons you can acquire. It is a Bind on Equip item which means you can get it off the Auction House and it's usually fairly cheap.

Helm

Socketed gear FTW.

This is an alternative and comes from the Gorefiend Quest in Shadowmoon Valley
