PvP Gear

Average: 4.5 (13 votes)

Here is a basic list of PvP gear you can buy when you reach level 70. I've leveled several characters to 70 and the first thing to consider when planning to do PvP is how you're going to get gear. There are few suitable alternatives that are obtainable without raiding, so if you want to be competitive at 70, you'll need to farm some honor to buy some of the following rewards.

  Honor AV AB WSG EoS
S1 Hands 10500 20
S1 Shoulders 11250   20
S1 Legs 14500     30
S1 Helm 14500 30
S1 Chest 14500   30
Vindicator's Ring 15300 10
Vindicator's Belt 17850   40
Vindicator's Wrists 11794     20
Vindicator's Feet 17850       40
Vindicator's Neck 15300       10
Battlemaster's Trinket 30000 40
PvP Medallion (Trinket) 16983 20
Blue Ring 9547 10
Sergeant's Cape/Cloak 7548   20
Total (Without Weapons) 207,422 130 110 50 50

To get either a powerful 2 handed weapon, a 2 handed staff, a main and off hand weapon or a ranged weapon you'll need 27,000 honor and either 40 EoS marks or 40 AV marks.

In conclusion, a warrior, for example, will need 219,216 honor 130 AV marks, 110 AB marks, 50 WSG marks and 50 EoS marks to optimize themselves for PvP without any raiding or supplemental gear. However, it is likely that in this amount of time you will accumulate enough arena points to purchase some arena gear and mitigate some of the totals listed above. At 10,000 honor a day (almost full time) it will take you 3-4 weeks to gear up.

wow takes you a full day to only get 10,000 honor... I dont know how you grind out honor but thats low. I pump out 30,000 in a full day of pvp by myself without anyone else. L2 play. I can tell your a total pvp noob by the way this is written out. Also you have no sense of how to grind out things. You just threw some numbers together to sound smart and act like it was good content for your site jizmo aka webmaster aka poppasmurf.

Naar, the above guide was

Naar, the above guide was written to help people figure out how much honor they needed at a glance and get an idea of what they are getting into, not to give them methods on how to grind honor or boast about my ability to do so. Since you sound interested, I assumed 10-12,000 honor in 8-10 hours of playing, I used 8-10 hours since that's a full time job. This was about 1,250 honor an hour in Alterac Valley, which seems to be a bit ambitious lately but was pretty accurate back in January, this will depend on your battlegroup & faction. I enjoy the large scope of Alterac Valley more than the other battlegrounds and selected it not to optimize honor but to maximize enjoyment. This does not include bonus honor on AV weekends where I've seen as much as 2,000 honor an hour pouring in. I'd love to hear how you pump out 30,000 honor in a day, I bet that would be very helpful to the people who read this guide.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm Jizmo not Poppasmurph or the webmaster of this site. I've been submitting content to almost gaming for quite awhile through their gopro program, I would recommend that you check it out since you sound like you have a lot of experience with World of Warcraft.
