New Mage Talents
Here is a preview of the new Mage talents coming in Wrath of the Lich King. Of course, they are all preliminary and subject to change. The information is from the World Wide Invitation and we will keep it updated as Blizzard releases more information.
Arcane
Arcane Barrage (require 50 points, 335 mana, 30 yard range, 3 second cooldown, instant cast): Launches several missiles at the enemy target, causing 386 Arcane damage.
Netherwind Presence (requires 45 points): Gives your Arcane Missiles, Arcane Barrage, Arcane Blast, Fireball, Frostbolt and Frostfire Bolt spells a 1/2/3/4/5% chance to cause the next Arcane Blast, Fireball, Frostbolt or Frostfire Bolt to be instant.
Student of the Mind (requires 40 points): Increases your total Spirit by 4/7/10%.
Incanter's Absorption (requires 40 points): When you absorb damage your spell damage is increased by 5/10/15% of the amount absorbed for 10 seconds.
Potent Spirit (requires 35 points): Increases your spell critical strike rating by an amount equal to 7/15% of your total Spirit.
Fire
Living Bomb (requires 50 points, 400 mana, instant cast): he caster becomes a living bomb, causing 51 Fire damage to all enemies within 10 yards every 2 sec. After 6, a fiery explosion occurs causing an additional 212 Fire damage to all enemies within 10 yards.
Burnout (requires 45 points): Increases your spell critical damage bonus with all Fire spells by 5/10/15/20/25% but every time you critical with a Fire spell you lose an additional 1% of your total mana.
Hot Streak (requires 40 points): Any time you score 3 spell criticals in a row, you have a 33/66/100% chance the next spell cast within 10 seconds will gain 100% increased chance to score a critical hit.
World in Flames (requires 40 points): If a Fire spell you cast hits 3 or more targets, the spell causes an additional 5/10/15% damage.
Fiery Payback (requires 35 points): Increases damage caused by Molten Armor by 10/20% and whenever you resist a spell the caster takes 25/50% of any instant damage that would have been caused. Damage caused by Fiery Payback will not exceed 50% of the caster's health.
Frost
Deep Freeze (requires 50 points, 1.5 second cast, 8% mana base, 30 yard rage, 30 second cooldown): Stuns the target for 5 seconds. Only usable on Frozen targets.
Chilled to the Bone (requires 45 points): Increases the damage caused by your Frostbolt and Ice Lance spells by 1/2/3/4/5% and reduces the movement speed of all chilled targets by an additional 2/4/6/8/10%.
Improved Water Elemental (requires 40 points): Increases the duration of your Summon Water Elemental spell by 5/10/15 seconds and increases the total health and mana of your water elemental by 10/20/30%.
Brain Freeze (requires 40 points): Your Frost Nova and Frostbite effects also reduce the target's chance to hit with all attacks by 5/10/15%.
Winter's Grasp (requires 35 points): Gives your Frost damage spells a 5/10% chance to apply the Winter's Grasp effect, which increases the chance all attacks will hit the target by 2% and the target is considered Frozen for 10 seconds.
Arctis Winds (requires 30 points): Increases all Frost damage you cause by 1/2/3/4/5% and reduces the chance melee and ranged attacks will hit you by 1/2/3/4/5%.
