Let’s face it, Skinning WASTES A TON OF TIME. Every time you stop to skin a mob you lose time that could have been spent leveling. YOU NEED TO READ THIS GUIDE NOW so you can work on making LOTS of GOLD to buy your leather instead.

To powerlevel your skinning you don't need to crack open your piggy bank and buy loads of materials from the Auction House. Instead you get to run around for hours right clicking mobs and then selling the lootz on the AH. Right clicking (skinning) mobs you say??!! Yes, isn't that your favorite thing to do? There isn't much more to say than to just provide the best zones to run through and grab the skinning skill you want. You probably don't even need the guide, you can probably just remember where you saw beasts during a particular level span and increase your skinning skill that way.

I have organized these beasts (lawl) regionally, so you can go from one to the next quickly to get your skinning skill up as fast as possible. Although you will likely spend significantly more time killing and skinning mobs than you will traveling from zone to zone. I assume Alliance starts from Ironforge and Horde starts from Orgrimmar. Let the skinning begin!

Here is the zone list.

Alliance

* 1-25: Crag Boats and Wendigos in Dun Morogh South of Kharanos
* 25-50: Kill Wolves around Brenwall Village
* 50-100: Goretusks in Westfall, around Sentinel Hill
* 100-130: Crocolisks and Raptors in Bluegill Marsh in the Wetlands
* 130-150: Bears and Mountain Lions south and west of Tarren Mill
* 150-170: Kill and skin Yetis in the Yeti Cave in Hillsbrad
* 170-180: Raptors all over Arathi Highlands

Horde

* 1-25 Mottled Boars and Scorpids in southern Durotar
* 25-50 Boars and Scorpids in north Durotar
* 50-100 Plainstriders and Prowlers outskirts of Crossroads
* 100-130 Stormsnouts and Thunderhawks near Camp Taurajo area
* 130-170 Hyenas, Lions, Wyvern and Thunderhawks all over Thousand Needles
* 170-180 Turtles and Basilisks southern/western Shimmering Flats

Alliance & Horde

* 180-220 Raptors, Panthers and Tigers in STV around Nessingways Camp
* 220-250 Raptors and Gorillas all around the Gurabashi Arena
* 250-270 Stags and Hippogryphs in Azshara
* 270-300 Turtles and Chimera in Azshara
* 300-310 Hellboars in Hellfire Peninsula
* 310-330 Ravagers in Hellfire Peninsula
* 330-350 Clefthoofs and other beasts in Nagrand
* 350-375 Netherdrakes in Netherstorm and beasts in Shadowmoon Valley or Blades Edge Mountains

Kind of a waste of time when you go from Sentinel Hill to Wetlands in hopes that 100 is enough only to get a red text slapped in your face.

220-250, those raptors and

There's a cave with basilisk east of the arena, with beasts up to 44, and nicely grouped as well, compared to the raptors and gorillas spread out all over the place. It was easy for me as a 70 hunter to snag 3 with pet, multi shot all 3, loot/skin, and grab the next 3. Every single skinning guide except this one (and it's mostly the same) are exactly the same, just copy and pasted. I especially enjoy the last part, from 250-300...the other guides say go to that island east of BB, and those mobs are all 40-41, which is again, trash. Anyway, enjoy that cave east of the arena =)
