WOTLK Lockpicking 1-450

Lockpicking is an exclusive skill of Rogues. Unfortunately, many Rogues underutilize this skill and even more unfortunately many Rogues underutilize all of their skills and are simply button mashers giving Rogues a poor reputation. 🙁

Lockpicking is a very beneficial ability to have. During your time in the game there are going to be locked chests in instances, locked boxes dropping off mobs, or locked doors that could provide you with access to uber loot to sell on the auction house.

WOTLK First Aid 1-450

There isn’t a class that should let First Aid slip by them but many, especially healers do. First Aid is an indispensable skill that can literally save a raid from a wipe. If you’ve slacked off don’t worry you can always buy all the materials now to begin leveling up your First Aid. If you are as broke as can be CHECK OUT THIS GUIDE and quit asking people to borrow you money. 🙂

First Aid is a secondary profession, meaning anyone and everyone can and should have it. It is extremely helpful in both PvE and PvP, as you can almost always find time to heal yourself in both situations. This leveling guide will get you from 1-450 in First Aid.

With patch 3.1.0 Blizzard removed the requirement for players to do the quest “Triage” in order to learn Artisan First Aid and made the First Aid formulas that players previously had to buy from vendors available from the trainers. This means that leveling up First Aid has gotten even easier, and this guide reflect those changes.

WOTLK Fishing & Cooking Guide 1-450

Fishing and Cooking are made for one another, if you do one without the other you’ll be wishing you hadn’t later on. As with any profession, Cooking and Fishing can sometimes dig a hole in your pocket. Take a look at this Gold Guide to learn how to sell what you make for the most profit.

This Fishing and Cooking Leveling Guide is updated for patch 4.0 and Cataclysm.

Fishing and cooking go hand in hand…catch fish and cook them, they are perfect for leveling together. Higher level cooking skills require many components derived from fishing. Leveling fishing and cooking it doesn’t take a great deal of talent, instead it takes an intense grind consisting of thousands of casts, fish, and flames to cook them over. I’ll send you around to various lakes, trainers, and NPCs who sell recipes for this leveling guide. Basically you’re going to stand around casting 3-4 thousand times catching thousands of fish and then frying their brains out over a fire while you are leveling to 450 with this guide.

WOTLK Fishing Guide 1-450

This guide is all about getting to that fishing skill of 450 so you can start farming those fish you need no matter where they are to gain stat food or simply farm to sell for gold. Following this guide will guarantee that you don’t spends days fishing to get your skill up to 450.

Training the Skill

Instead of running around to various trainers I recommend that you simply get a port to Dalaran and train with Marcia Chase. She will be able to teach you all the fishing skills that you need. You will also be able to fish next to her the entire time until you reach 450. You can also do this with any fishing trainer in your home city that is close to water.

WOTLK Cooking Guide 1-450

Cooking is a great secondary profession to have for a character that can greatly enhance a character’s ability to get specific stats higher for leveling, grouping, or raiding.

You’ll need either meat from mobs or fish from fishing for most recipes in order to level up. If you have the money, feel free to buy what you need from the auction house.

This guide will give a few options to level your fishing for certain skill levels so you have some options no matter how you decide to get the materials.

You will need to be able to make a cooking fire (found in your spell book under the general tab) so you do not have to run back to a camp or city to do your combines.

Now find a cooking trainer/supplier to get started. Train as needed so you can keep progressing.

WOTLK Tailoring 1-450

Here is an Apprentice to Grandmaster Tailoring leveling guide (levels 1 to 450). Leveling Tailoring requires an amazingly large number of mats to level up. Below are step by step instructions for leveling Tailoring using only basic recipes and materials.

It’s much faster to buy the materials to level up tailoring but that can get rather expensive, if you’re in need of gold I definitely recommend using this gold guide.

Apprentice Tailoring Guide (Levels 1-75)

Leveling up Apprentice Tailoring requires a bunch of Linen Cloth and Coarse Thread. Linen can be easily obtained as you’re leveling, or you can go back to places like the Dead Mines later to farm the linen you need. I suggest you get 166 Linen Cloth, but since Linen Bag turns yellow at level 70, you might need a few extra to finish leveling off to 75. Make sure you save all the Bolts of Linen Cloth that you make until your Tailoring skill is at least 75.

WOTLK Leatherworking 1-450

This leatherworking leveling guide takes the most practical and common-sense approach to leveling your leatherworking to 450 as easy as possible. Sometimes there can be significant cost differences while leveling between the server this guide was tested on and the server you’re playing on.

If you notice another item to make at certain points in the guide that is cheaper for you while leveling, by all means go ahead and use it instead of following the guide. You can also purchase all of these materials off the auction house to level faster, if you’re short on gold I highly recommend reading this gold guide.

WOTLK Inscription 1-450

While leveling Inscription with this guide, you will make Glyphs with Inks & Parchment. The ink comes from milling (another Inscription skill) through herbs (more info in below in this guide). You will only need Wrath of the Lich King if you intend on leveling beyond 375 in Inscription. This Inscription Leveling Guide will tell you step-by-step the best way of leveling Inscription with the least gold.

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t have enough gold to buy these materials especially when there’s easy to follow gold guides.

Why Inscription: Shoulder Enchants

The best reason for leveling Inscription to 400 with this guide is to make your shoulder enchant, which will save you tons of time or gold farming Sons of Hodir rep. You can apply these shoulder enchants only to your own gear:

  • Master’s Inscription of the Axe
  • Master’s Inscription of the Crag
  • Master’s Inscription of the Pinnacle
  • Master’s Inscription of the Storm

WOTLK Engineering 1-450

This is an engineering leveling guide to get you from 1-525. It provides a method of leveling up your engineering, which has been selected for its low cost and simplicity. However, no matter what, leveling engineering is going to be awfully expensive to grind. It is well worth it though, as it is one of the most hilarious and enjoyable professions in PvP with awesome items like the Discombulator Ray.

Definitely use this gold guide and buy all the materials, the gold guide can also be used to learn how to sell the stuff you make to get all your gold back and then some.

In some instances you will have to keep some of the engineering materials you craft to use them later down the road in this leveling guide so I highly recommend that you keep components based off expansion. Everything you make from 1 to 300 from engineering keep until you reach 300 and it might be safe to sell. Then keep everything you make from 300-350, once you hit 350 you’ll be switching to Northrend stuff. I will try to make a note to tell you what stuff to keep when possible.
